African Safari

…What is a good safari to go on at Kruger Park? How do I start to plan this?
How do I go about planning a safari in South Africa’s Kruger Park? I will be in Johannesburg, so I assume Kruger Park makes the most sense. I have 3-Days for the safari. Do you have any recommendations of lodges or tour operators? What is the difference between lodges and tours? I know there are some options where you just find housing, some are just the jeep/tour guide, and some are the whole package. I am not sure where to begin.
I want to make this as affordable as possible. Closer to $500 US for the entire 3 days, versus $1000 for the entire 3 days.

How old do you have to be to rent a car in South Africa?

Are there any Safari parks near Cape Town where you can go see Lions and Elephants etc in the wild? I’m not sure what the correct name is, wildlife tours?

i am 14 and my familly and i are going to africa.
we are first flying to johannesburg, then flying on to namibia for a safari tour around namibia.
we will be staying at a place with a pool, which is very near the sea.
we are also going to be going on safari and then generally touring around.
as i haven’t been to africa before i dont know what type of clothes to pack.
we are going to be leaving london, england (where we live) in mid august and staying in africa for two weeks.

also if anyone has any tips for hair and makeup and travel clothes those would be very welcome as well:)
