Masai mara safari – lonely planet travel video

Thanks to its wildebeests, lions and cheetahs the Mara, Kenya, is the most predator-packed reserve in the world. We camped for 16 days in the park at a community run Masai camp near Talek gate. We can’t wait to do it again! This is an excellent experience for anyone wanting to get up close and personal with wildlife in Kenya. In March & April 2009 we had a family holiday in Africa for a month and visited Kenya, Malawi, Zambia and South Africa. My dad works for Aardvark Safaris ( and planned the trip. I had to write a journal and make a photostory for my school as projects (boo) – I did get to miss three weeks of school though (hurray)…

Highlights from trip to South Africa in September. We stayed at Sanbona Lodge and Mosaic Farm. Both were fabulous accommodations. Safari included rare white lions. Additionally we went shark cage diving and had teh pleasure of seeing a mother Southern Right whale and her albino baby calf. Beautiful country!…
